Connect your Instagram account to ACE AI Spark to schedule and publish posts, Reels, and Stories — all from one dashboard.

⚠️ Before You Connect

Make sure you meet these requirements:

Your Instagram account must be a Professional account (Creator or Business) — personal accounts cannot publish via the API
Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page
You must have admin access to that Facebook Page

How to Connect

Open Connected Accounts

Go to Social Media Connections from the sidebar.

Select Instagram

Click "Connect Account" and choose Instagram from the platform list.

Authorise via Facebook

You'll be redirected to Facebook. Sign in and select the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account.

Grant Permissions

Review the requested permissions and click "Done". These permissions allow ACE AI Spark to publish content on your behalf.

Confirmation

Your Instagram account will now appear in Connected Accounts as active. You're ready to create and schedule content!

💡 Pro Tip — Create Reels with Flow

Use the Flow AI video workspace to generate professional video clips for Instagram Reels. Set the aspect ratio to 9:16 in Flow settings, then attach the generated video when creating your post.

🔄 Reconnecting Your Account

Instagram tokens expire periodically. If your account shows as disconnected or posts start failing, go to Connected Accounts and click "Reconnect" next to your Instagram account to re-authorise via Facebook.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Account not found after connecting"

Make sure your Instagram account is set to a Professional account (Creator or Business) and is properly linked to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts are not supported by the Instagram API.

"Permission denied"

Reconnect your account and ensure you grant all requested permissions during the Facebook authorisation screen. Declining any permission may prevent publishing.

"Reel upload failed"

Ensure your video is in MP4 format, under 1 GB, and at least 3 seconds long. Instagram also requires Reels to be in vertical (9:16) format.

Staying Connected

ACE AI Spark refreshes your connection automatically in the background, so once you connect an account it normally stays connected indefinitely. If the platform ever requires you to re-authorize the app, you’ll see two things:

A bell-icon notification at the top of any page in the app
An email letting you know which account needs attention

When that happens, head to Social Media Connections, find the row showing the disconnected account, and click Connect. The re-auth takes about ten seconds. Any scheduled posts that were going out only to this account are automatically paused while it’s disconnected and resume the moment you reconnect — nothing gets lost.
