What AI Expand does

Type a short idea like "cosmic logo materializing in space". Click Expand in the input bar. Pick a style. Flow rewrites your short prompt into a detailed cinematic description, structured the way the video model responds to best — Scene, Visuals, Camera, Audio, SFX and Music. The detailed prompt drops straight into the input box, ready for you to Generate.

It is free. Expand does not cost any credits.

Built-in styles

Seven styles are ready to use:

Each style has an eye icon next to its name. Click the eye to read the full instructions Flow will give to the model before you apply the style. This is the fastest way to learn what each preset will do to your prompt.

Apply a style to your prompt

  1. Type a short prompt (5 to 15 words is the sweet spot).
  2. Click Expand. The styles popover opens upward from the button.
  3. Click a style name. Flow rewrites your prompt and replaces the text in the box.
  4. A pill above the textarea says Expanded with [Style] · Undo. The pill stays until you start typing again, or you click Undo to put your original short prompt back. The pill is your safety net — you have not lost your original prompt.
  5. Read through the rewritten prompt. Scroll inside the textarea if it is long — most rewrites are 600 to 900 characters.
  6. Hit Generate when you are happy. Or tweak the rewritten text first if you want to nudge it.

Create your own preset

If you have a brand voice you want every clip to match, save it once and reuse it forever:

  1. Click ExpandCreate Custom Preset at the bottom of the popover.
  2. Give it a short name (for example, ACE Brand Style) and a one-line description so future-you remembers what it does.
  3. Write the system prompt. The easiest way is to start from one of the built-in style instructions (click an eye icon, copy the text) and modify it. Tell the model the palette, the energy, the camera character, the sound design — whatever defines your look.
  4. Save. Your preset appears in the Your Presets section of the popover with a Custom badge.
  5. Hover the preset row to see Preview, Edit and Delete icons. You can revise the system prompt any time.

Tips

What if I do not like the rewrite?

Click Undo on the pill above the textarea. Your original short prompt comes back exactly as you typed it. You can then try a different preset, or tweak your short prompt and Expand again.
