Understanding file upload limits and supported formats helps you avoid errors when adding media to your posts.
Upload Limits (Storage)
| Media Type | Max File Size in Library |
| Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP) | 50 MB |
| Videos (MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI) | 2 GB |
These are our library storage caps. Each social platform also has its own publish-time cap — see the table below. If your video is below our 2 GB cap but above a platform's limit, that platform will reject it with a clear "video too large" message.
Per-Platform Publish Limits
| Platform | Max Video | Max Image | Notes |
| X (Twitter) | 512 MB | 5 MB | Up to 140 sec video on standard accounts. |
| LinkedIn | 5 GB | 36 MB | Up to 10 minutes video. Personal + organization pages. |
| TikTok | 4 GB | 20 MB | Direct Post API. Up to 10 min video. |
| YouTube | 256 GB or 12 h | — | Resumable upload. Whichever comes first. |
| Facebook | 10 GB | 30 MB | Up to 240 min video. |
| Instagram | 4 GB | 30 MB | Reels max 90 sec. Feed video max 60 min. |
Cross-posting: when you post the same video to multiple platforms at once, the smallest applicable cap wins. Example: a 600 MB video posted to both X (512 MB cap) and LinkedIn (5 GB cap) will succeed on LinkedIn but be rejected by X with "video too large." The other platforms publish normally.
Supported Formats

Tip: MP4 is the most widely supported video format across all social platforms. When in doubt, use MP4.
Troubleshooting Upload Errors
"The object exceeded the maximum allowed size"
Your file is larger than the 2 GB video or 50 MB image library limit. Try compressing the file or using a different format.
"Video too large for X (Twitter)" / "Video too large for LinkedIn" / "Video too large for TikTok"
Your file is below our 2 GB library cap but exceeds the platform's hard limit shown in the table above. Either compress the video below that cap, or remove that platform from this post and publish to the others.
Upload stalls or fails
Check your internet connection. Large video files (over 500 MB) may take several minutes to upload on slower connections. Do not close the browser tab during upload.
Format not supported
Make sure your file matches one of the supported formats listed above. Rename the extension if needed, but the actual file content must match.
